Scale Step Worksheet Fixed

Just a quick note before teaching this afternoon…

Any of you who tried to download the Major-Minor Scale Step Worksheet on my website designed to go with the Major/Minor Scale Identification activity likely came across an error with the file when you tried to download.  Thanks to those of you who took time to email and let me know!  I’ve got the glitch fixed – it should download as a 2-sided worksheet.

Welcome to all of the Music Matters Blog readers!  Thanks to Natalie for sending many of you my way.   Hope you enjoy and find some materials you can use in your studios!   I do love to hear from other teachers, so if you have comments or suggestions, please feel free to leave a comment or drop me an email!

  1. Your blog is amazing! You are so creative and I love all of the ideas. I’m one of Natalie’s readers, so her blog is what sent me over to your blog and I’m so glad that she did. Today was the first time for me to look at things and I have already found an activity that I played with one of my students that I taught today. He is a very hands on learner, so the more I can get him off the piano doing something, the more fun he has at lessons and the more learning he does. Thanks for being willing to share all of your hard work.

  2. Hi Samantha,

I’m glad you found something you could use! I love it when I find something online and can use it right away – it keeps an evening of teaching fresh! I have a studio full of little boys this year, so totally understand the need for activities and manipulatives away from the piano. Best of luck!

  3. Dear Jennifer,

I found your site through Natalie and spent yesterday between lessons reading and printing !! I used two of your games already, Whole Step Half Step, and Intervals building a Tower. (I need more blocks!) Thank you so much for sharing all your wonderful ideas. I will be visiting often.

  4. I also found your blog through Natalie’s site and it was just what I needed to motivate me for the first week of lessons next week after spring break. I’m especially excited about your hand position drill. I’ve also been having trouble with students not figuring out the right position before they start a song, and I’ve been looking for something just like this! Thanks so much for sharing! I’ve already bookmarked your site and I’ll be checking back often!
